Established in 2021, Ginger Root Plant Co. is a mobile plant shop that specializes is backyard grocery gardens, indoor houseplants and native plants that create sustainable ecosystems.

Ginger Root grows all of their native, herb and vegetable plants from seeds utilizes organic and sustainable growing practices. We pride ourselves on providing unique varieties not available at your local nursery and garden center. We start with high quality, heirloom seed varieties. All indoor houseplants are sourced from family owned greenhouses locally in Central Indiana.

Ginger Root not only wants to provide a unique, quality product but also foster a welcoming and diverse community. We want to be a place where people can come together to connect and learn.

Our values are rooted in education, sustainability, inclusivity, and joy! We also donate 10% of our “Fight Evil, Buy Plants” t-shirt profits each month to a local non-profit.
